The Montefalco Rosso by Antonelli is an austere and balanced Umbrian red wine, marked by excellent drinkability. It is produced with aging in large oak barrels for one year. Aromas of sour cherries, flowers, pepper, and earth accompany a rich, fresh, and structured sip, well balanced.

The Montefalco Rosso by Antonelli San Marco is an intense and aromatically rich wine that well represents the historic winemaking vocation of the lands of Umbria. It is produced with the classic blend of red grape varieties traditionally grown in the Montefalco area. With a significant base of Sangiovese, the indigenous Sagrantino and Montepulciano join in, creating a harmonious and complex red that captivates with an extraordinary drinkability. The aging in large barrels allows for complete maturation of the wine without losing the fragrant face of the fruit and the direct expressive immediacy. It is a very pleasant wine to drink young, but it also has good aging potential.

The Montefalco Rosso is born in one of the most important wineries in the area. The Antonelli family has been cultivating vineyards in Montefalco for five generations and today manages a vast estate of 170 hectares, of which 50 are dedicated to vineyards and the rest to olive groves, woods, and pastures. The agronomic management is organic and takes place within an unspoiled environmental context rich in biodiversity. The classic grape varieties of the territory have been planted in the vineyards.territory, particularly Sagrantino, Sangiovese, Grechetto, and Trebbiano Spoletino. Following great attention to the vineyard, there is a cellar work oriented towards minimal intervention, with delicate winemaking that mainly aims to bring the varietal notes to the forefront. The style of Antonelli San Marco is characterized by a search for elegance and finesse and adherence to the authenticity of the terroir.

The Rosso di Montefalco from the famous Umbrian winery Antonelli San Marco is a wine with extraordinary gastronomic vocation. Thanks to its versatility, it pairs excellently with rich and flavorful first courses of the Umbrian tradition, particularly with meat or game sauces, roasts, or grilled meats. The grapes of Sangiovese, Sagrantino, and Montepulciano are fermented in steel tanks with skin maceration for 2 to 3 weeks. The wine rests for 12 months in large oak barrels and another 6 months in cement tanks before being bottled. It presents an intense and bright red color. On the nose, it recalls aromas of ripe red fruit, sour cherry, hints of underbrush, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and intense, with fine tannins and a sip characterized by a pleasant fruity fragrance. The finish is pleasantly fresh and has good taste persistence.
