The Pinot Grigio "Sanct Valentin" is a well-structured white wine, matured for at least 11 months in barrique. It expresses tension, minerality, and softness starting from the aromas of fresh fruit and candied citrus on a woody background. The sip is creamy and enveloping, with good length

The Pinot Grigio "Sanct Valentin" is a label that belongs to the most prestigious collection of San Michele Appiano. It is a great classic of the South Tyrolean winery, which has been producing it since the 1980s, using only grapes from the best vineyards of the estate. The long aging in wood enhances the bouquet with complex and deep aromas, soft and enveloping, perfectly expressing the rich personality of this noble grape variety. It is a wine dedicated to those who prefer fruit maturity, expressive harmony, and aromatic intensity.

The "Sanct Valentin" Pinot Grigio from San Michele Appiano originates in a historic winery in Alto Adige, which for over a century has been producing wines linked to the best traditions of the area. The Pinot Grigio vineyards that provide the grapes for the Sanct Valentin selection are chosen from the most suitable plots, located near Appiano, at an altitude between 420 and 600 meters above sea level, with an exposure facing southeast and southwest. The soils are of ancient morainic origin, rich in calcareous gravel, making them very draining and rich in mineral elements. The climate is cool, characterized by significant temperature variations, which favor slow and optimal grape ripening. The harvest takes place around mid-September, with manual picking and selection of the best grapes in the vineyard. After gentle pressing, the must ferments in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine matures for about a year in barriques and tonneaux, also undergoing malolactic fermentation, and completes its aging with at least 6 months in cement vats before the final bottling.

The Pinot Gris “Sanct Valentin” by San Michele Appiano is a white wine of remarkable structure and concentration, which also has a good propensity for aging, with interesting tertiary evolutions. Its characteristics make it a versatile table companion, appreciated with both important seafood dishes, fish in sauce or baked, as well as with noble poultry or delicate white meats. It presents with an intense and bright light yellow color. The aromatic profile is rich and broad, with aromas of white-fleshed fruit, golden apple, pear, hints of tropical fruit, nuances of vanilla, and soft spices. The "its density provides pleasantly satisfying and creamy tasting sensations, with a complex and persistent aromatic spectrum, well balanced by a harmonious and fresh finish.
