The Timorasso "Fausto" is a rich and full-bodied wine, with great character, born as a tribute to Fausto Coppi and established as a benchmark. The long aging on fine lees in steel gives it structure and softness, which integrate with the freshness and saline sapidity typical of the terroir

The Timorasso '"Fausto" is a tribute to Fausto Coppi, a legend of Italian cycling and grandfather of the current owners of the Vigne Marina Coppi winery. It is a white wine with personality, an expression of the terroir of the Alessandria area in Piedmont, which already tells of an elegant and pleasant soul, but with a few more years of aging in the bottle, it will reach the peaks of its evolutionary journey, with even greater freshness and minerality on the palate. An identity and territorial label, perfect for accompanying evenings where fish is the star of the dinner.

This white wine “Fausto” is a Timorasso that comes from the homonymous indigenous grapes of the Tortona area, located in the eastern part of the province of Alessandria, in Piedmont. The vines of this variety grow in the crus of Gabetto and Montagnina, characterized by a subsoil rich in limestone marls, in vineyards with slopes that can reach inclinations of 35%. The grapes, hand-picked in boxes by the team at Vigne Marina Coppi, are gently pressed after harvest, then fermented in steel, without undergoing malolactic fermentation. The wine rests for 10 months in steel on the fine lees, and, after bottling, undergoes an additional maturation of 10 months directly in glass.

The “Fausto” is a Timorasso that, in the glass, reveals a light golden soul, not too concentrated. The aromas that envelop the nose tell of a multifaceted range, where aromatic herbs alternate with citrus sensations and more marine touches. On the palate, it is full-bodied, enveloping, balanced, characterized by a fresh and savory sip, which ends with a finish of excellent persistence. To be enjoyed immediately or to be left in the cellar for a few years.
