The Langhe wine estate Eraldo Revelli operates in Farigliano, a municipality located southwest of the town of Dogliani, which gives its name to the homonymous designation reserved for the Dolcetto grape, native to the Langhe. The vineyard area available to the estate extends over about 7 hectares, managed sustainably in respect of the health of the environment and biodiversity.
Inside the Wine Box Eraldo Revelli Dogliani Superiore San Matteo, there are 24 bottles of Dogliani Superiore San Matteo from the family-run estate Eraldo Revelli. This is a pure Dolcetto from vines about 35 years old, cultivated on clayey, calcareous, siliceous, and tuffaceous soils at an altitude of 570 meters above sea level. After harvesting, the grapes undergo destemming and crushing operations, followed by the alcoholic fermentation of the must in stainless steel tanks.of stainless steel with 8-10 days of maceration on the skins. The subsequent maturation phase lasts for several months and takes place between steel and large barrels. The result is a Dogliani of great typicity, rich in fruity, floral, and spicy hints that recall ripe plum, cherry, rose petals, and sweet spices, with a juicy, structured, and balanced taste, with perfectly integrated tannic texture.
